What to pitch

Propose an explainer about an institution, civic custom, shared place, collective choice or public idea. Strong subjects give readers a way to understand how something works, compare two distinct approaches or recognise a common misconception.

What to include

Tell us the central question, the answer or insight you expect the piece to offer, why it suits Fresh Civic Briefing and what material would support it. Include a short outline and any relevant writing samples if you have them. Do not send confidential material or assume a pitch will be accepted.
